The Takeout and Tequila Cazadores are in the midst of a cross-country road trip in search of the finest tacos across America. Having stopped in Los Angeles and learning the secrets of a top-notch tortilla, we’re off to the Midwest and to The Takeout’s home base in Chicago. We invited six of our favorite taquerias around the city, and with chef Aarón Sánchez leading our panel of judges, declared a winner. On this episode, we look back on a fantastic night of tacos and tequila in Chicago, as well as visit the restaurant of our award-winning chef—chef Julie Warpinski of Big Star—to learn a few trade secrets in the fine art of salsa and tortilla-making.
